Darren Rowse with ProBlogger shared a great guest post by Annabel Candy recently. The article is titled:
Getting Over the Blogger’s 6 Month Itch
The Blogger’s 6 Month Itch occurs when new bloggers “newbies” first get started. They are obviously excited about their new found resource in blogging and want to see their niche content dominating the ‘Google Sphere’. Interestingly enough, Annabel relates it to the “7 Year Itch” that deals with marriage. Actually for me, it was 9 years…but inevitably every marriage see’s these struggles and bloggers as well. But my question is this…”Does it really take most newbies 6 months before they see any quantitative results”…Really?
She goes on to explain in ‘plain blogger’ why you should carry on blogging after 6 months and how to find the strength to carry on blogging. She closes her article with a real coaches push or pep-talk, if you will.
“Look at anything you’ve achieved in your life. It probably didn’t come easily. There may have been times when you wanted to give up. But you’re glad you didn’t. Take heart from that and carry on blogging.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself…Great article Annabel!
Reminds me of Dani Johnson’s video:
“Don’t Ask For Life To Be Easy…Ask For Life To Be Worth It”
so translate into ‘plain blogger’…
“Don’t Ask For Blogging To Be Easy…Ask For Blogging To Be Worth It”
Obviously there are ways to dramatically shorten the blogging learning curve.
…but in reality, most people just want EASY
…SUCCESS doesn’t come easy and that’s what makes it WORTH IT!
Enjoy…
